Back from Beijing.

November 28th, 2007

Yes, I’m back, and we had a wonderful time. It’s amazing what flying 13 hours into the future, living there for a week, and then flying 13 hours back into the past will do to a person. I now have a terrible cold, and can’t wait to sleep a whole night in my own bed. (We’ll see how the ‘whole night’ part goes.) Asif will be grateful not to have to suffer my apparently horrific snoring. And slowly all things will gradually return to their normal places and times.

Until then, here is what I think might be the ultimate ‘music to knit by’ video. It’s like someone brilliant has smushed Frank Wedekind’s “Spring Awakening” down to 2:26. Hold onto your needles, or skeins, or seats, or whatever else seems appropriate.

Definitely the ultimate music to knit by. This is the first time I’ve heard the song and I can’t get it out of my head.

And DH thought I was kidding when I made a knitting playlist on my ipod.

    Thank you so very much!

I hope you had success bringing your knitting needles on the plane to China. I usually bring bamboo/wood needles on those flights without any problem (I usually decide to start a new project, or take the project off the needles before going through security.)
Did you buy a lot of yarn in China? Yarn labelled as 100% wool is generally a very good deal there.
