Reflections of a working writer and reader

Planning to write is not writing. Outlining, researching, talking to people about what you're doing, none of that is writing. Writing is writing. . . . Writing is like driving at night in the fog. You can only see as far as your headlights, but you can make the whole trip that way. E.L. Doctorow

Five Questions: Hotel Solace

1. Why do you blog?
Writing has always been my passion. It’s in my blood. I blog because I find it therapeutic. I blog because I love to, I want to and because I can.

Judith McNaught, Shakespeare

3. Which three blogs do you most visit?

My own of course, at: Hotel Solace (www.elvina33.blogspot.com)

4. Why do you read fiction?
Because it’s not real?

5. What makes you laugh?
Witty humour, goofy people, infectious laughter and babies.

“Because its not real.” That is exactly why I read fiction. Good answer. I don’t care for fiction that reminds me too much of real life. I like to get away on an adventure.

Curious, to find a blog entry from Elvina featured here … but flattered nonetheless to find my blog mentioned.
