Recently physics games have been getting more and more press. Games like Half Life 2 have included physics simulations to great effect. Indie games like Armadillo Run, and Gish taker things even further.

The Physics games blog, Fun Motion, recently mentioned three interesting looking physics toys, which really show the potential of physics based gameplay and, combined with the wonder of Youtube, can be used to show off cool stuff.

Rather than mention them here I’ll just do the linking thing, but I must say - that MIT things looks amazing.

I love physics in games. That’s why Half Life 2 is one of my favorite games of all time, it actually leverages the physics in gameplay, and increases the pure fun of the game, letting my play with swings, traps, and other cool contraptions.
