New features: better comments and posts ratings

I’ve finally got the time to implement this two features I have had in mind for quite some time: better comments and posts ratings.

How does this make your experience on Personal Development even better? Here’s a show intro:

Better Comments

Not only do your comments look a bit better now thanks to restyling, but they also support avatars!

Since this blog is often visited and commented by members of the MyBlogLog communities, your avatars are now magically shown in every comment you leave. How cool is that?!

Ratings for each article

For every single post, there is now a way for you to show me how you liked it. Needless to say, such an attention from you will be invaluable to me and will be greatly appreciated.

Ratings look like a set of starts which you can move your mouse pointer over and click once the desired selection is made. These stars appear automatically on individual posts pages at at top of each article. You can also see immediately whether others liked the article, and how many people have chosen to share their opinion so far (it’s just the starts - no comments and no names, so you can be honest and unbiased in your ratings).

    Me again (this time using FireFox)… sorry for the double comment, just wanna say that the labels (for name, mail, and website) are not properly aligned. Other than that, props to you for the nice features! (5 stars given)

    I will be sure to review the CSS part of it later to make it look absolutely right.

    Hopefully, the changes you make will make the site more enjoyable and accessible.
    Sorry to say, the comment box is not yet displaying correctly. The text boxes are not aligned and there is some code visible.

    I’ve finally realized that you all were talking about a form which I never saw cause I’m the blog’s author ;) Logged out and then fixed the problem. Looks much better, I think!
