The Three Paths To Grow

Christina Wodtke talks about the three-pronged fork in the road for growth. I always considered two prongs in terms of corporate hierarchies - the management ladder and the technical ladder. The reason to separate these two is because I believe that the management is about people and the other is about technology. Of course, the technology is also finally about people, but it is not people management. Being part of management ladder involves a completely different perspective and I sincerely believe that one cannot do both at the same priority. Erin Malone writes in detail about the transition from designer to a manager. Christina presents a third path - You 2.0. It can easily be included into any of the above, but I think it is about identifying value by sensing a purpose. Something that is the source of a gut feeling that provides the motivation and the confidence.
