Five Reasons I Blog
So this is…the third time I’ve been tagged to do one of those crazy meme’s going around. How sweet is that?! Kristin, by the way, just rocks. Not only can she turn regular old sandbox into what you see on her site, she did it with just CSS! How sweet is that? And also, she’s helping me get my archives from my old site up!
Alright, so five reasons why I blog…that’s a tough one, but I’ll try it out anyway.
- I’m an egotistical bastard that likes to talk about myself. This is true. I am an egotistical bastard and I love talking about myself. If I didn’t have this blog, it would be one less instance where I could whine, talk about how awesome I am, or pretend that I’m funny.
- I like meeting new people. If I didn’t have a blog, I wouldn’t have met a lot of awesome, interesting people. For example, I wouldn’t have met Lisa, and then we wouldn’t podcast. Or, I wouldn’t have met Kristin and I wouldn’t have been tagged for this meme. Blogging has opened up a whole new world of people for me. And now just the kind of people you can meet on the street, but people that are amazing, awesome, genuine, caring, and funny. These aren’t the type of people you meet on the street. There will be times when it could happen, but by far, these are the type of people that you want to have in your life, because they make your life that much better.
- I want to share my experiences with people. After coming out as trans, which wasn’t that long ago, but still, I just want people to know that I’m not that much different then the next guy. I want to help people understand where I’m coming from and I want people to know that things aren’t perfect and that things need to be changed. I’m just trying to make the world a better place for some people.
- I like writing. When I was younger, I was under the delusion that I would be a writer. Aside from the fact that I’m not that great of a writer, I’m kind of living out my childhood dream, because I write almost every day for my blog. That’s better than nothing. Oh, and I still dream of writing a book. If that ever happens, I’ll let you know.
- I want world peace. Yes, by me writing my blog and by you reading it, world peace will happen. I’m not making this up. Try reading my blog, tell your friends about my blog and make them read it, and eventually, there will be world peace. I shit you not.
So that’s why I blog. For better or for worse, that’s it. Now, who should I tag…hm…Lisa, Jessy, Erin, and Digit. Have at it.

u are gonna make me an egotistical bastard if you keep making me feel so special

[...] Josh tagged me to discuss 5 reasons why I blog. That’s a tough one. First, because I’m not entirely sure I can give five reasons and second, because there are many more than five. I’m highly cryptic, I know. But seriously, as a personal blogger, many of my reasons for writing are intimate. It’s hard to put them to words, even when they are numerous. Though, as my mother always told me, it never hurts to try: [...]
