It’s amazing what I’ll do for a good tomato.

Hooray! Spring has sprung!
Lydia, no doubt — finally!
How wonderful to see those green shoots! I actually grew some garlic in a pot over the winter — we snipped the tender shoots to include in salads and such. Hopefully, it’ll produce a head. It’s been more a fun experiment than garden project, I guess. :)
Nancy, I’d love to hear how that garlic turns out — if it actually works in the pot. That’s a very interesting experiment!
I’ve never heard of growing it in a pot. Something new to try!
Happy GTS,
Aiyana
Aiyana, definitely — isn’t that interesting?
I don’t have much luck with garlic. I try it every year, different methods, different planting times, different soil. It never works for me! hmmm
Matron, that’s very strange — does it grow other places in your zone?
Woohoo! So glad to see something green sprouting up there. Maybe spring has finally come to Iowa!
Michelle, here’s hoping. Everything did finally turn green today, so there’s hope!
Give them another week or two - then pull and eat…Green Garlic!!! I love it.
Happy Spring!
Katie, that’s a good idea — I’ve always been loathe to pull my garlic early, but I think I’m going to do that this time around, at least with a couple of them.
