Your April Fools Day Joke Sucks

Posted on Monday 31 March 2008

Since I can’t come up with a remarkable April Fools joke, I’ll just point you towards this post from 2006 by Anil Dash.

Your April Fools Day Joke Sucks.

Hmm. So this is what it’s like being a critic. Much easier than trying to create or do something new and interesting. I could get used to this! :P

Just a observation on the 2006 post and the comment about how announcing a company buy out or take over…..

“Our tiny company bought/got bought by a giant company. Like Microsoft!” Wow, that’s lame. Neither believable nor surprising enough to be amusing. “…

…and today’s announcement that google has taken over facebook : ) now to be known as googleface…..

A little bit of irony but I don’t think the announcement was a joke!

    cheers

Hmmm … Josh, I think I resemble that remark — item #2 about the company takeover. Seriously, though, I’m funny. If you don’t believe me, just ask my wife, she hasn’t laughed at a single joke since, like, after our first three months of dating.

    Cricket, cricket, cricket.

    Shaye,

Thanks for the comment! But I think the Google announcement was indeed an April Fools. Or am I reading you wrong?

    Jeff,

Ha! I promise this wasn’t directed at you. I was just feeling like being a spoil sport cause I couldn’t come up with a worthy prank.

Glad your wife thinks you’re funny tho. :p
