Everyone’s favorite blog community, 9rules, is launching their sixth iteration today. I’ve been spying on the development over the past months, and I can say without a doubt the new version, dubbed Ali2, is better than ever. Greatly enhanced Notes, more prominent Member content, and of course a standard Web 2.0 LOLcat error message. If I say any more Scrivs or Tyme may have to kill me. Just check it out later today and you won’t regret it.
With the controversy stirring around some Members leaving 9rules, I just want to take a quick second and mention I’m sticking around. The Apple Community is looking a little weak though, so feel free to drop by and help keep the community going. With a little participation, you just may find yourself a 9rules Member.

I left. I’m assuming you got the same e-mail as I did, asking me to participate or leave. I don’t have the time to lurk the forums or notes section all day. If they want to boot me from the “community”, fine. It’s not the same 9rules it was when I joined.
Smaran, I didn’t get the email because I had agreed to the new Member agreement in the Clubhouse. The whole idea of participation was agreed upon in the Clubhouse several months ago, and the people who got emails were never there to voice their opinion against participation. While it’s sad to see you go, I do think the new participation “requirement” will improve 9rules.
Hey, where’s that LOLcat error message? I deliberately mistyped URLs so I could get to see it. On the other hand, glad it’s all running smoothly; it does looked as brilliant as it must be complicated.

You can see the LOLcat error message if you visit my 9rules user page (along with a not–so-nice message about me leaving and how I’m “not cool”).
“We are sorry but you cannot access this page because this person decided to bounce. We know you don’t want to leave us and that is why we love you. If this person is your friend we would de-friend him/her as soon as possible because you don’t want to be known as the person who hangs out with quitters.”
I’m really glad I left now.
I like 9rules, so far (I’m kind of new). I’m not here for the LOLcats, though. What’s not to like?
Well, I was banned from 9rules because I was a participant who played nice, but to them (and I am referring to the creators) wasn’t participating in a way that they approved of. So now, I don’t support it.
