Finding Flickr

Footsteps in the Sand

In the quest to add some new touches to my blog, I've finally joined in that massive photo gallery cum social network we all know and love as Flickr. Actually, no that's not entirely accurate.

I've been a member of Flickr for more than 2 years now. However, in the light of a Gallery that has been constantly causing me trouble, it's only recently that I've purchased myself a Flickr Pro account and started uploading and sorting out all the pictures that I completely forgot existed. So it's safe to say that I've officially gotten myself involved in Flickr whereas before it was just something I tried on a whim.

Eventually though, if everything works out right with Flickr and I find out how to smoothly integrate Flickr and my blog, I'll probably move all my pictures from my gallery to Flickr. After all, 25 bucks a year for everything that I want in a photo gallery isn't so bad. The only downside is that I won't get to use my gallery sub-domain anymore, but that's just another thing I have to maintain, especially if I move servers, which is a hassle to say the least.

That being said, you can visit my Flickr page. Though it's a good idea to look at the sets rather than the actual photostream itself because I'm uploaded older pictures right now. Aside from that, enjoy the pictures.

I wonder though…with the amount of pictures that I have, should I post a picture in every post from now on? One that I know fits the mood. What do you think? It could be a regular thing if you all like it.

Up to you of course, I find different audiences are attracted to photography compared to blogging. I prefer keeping the two separate.

That’s a sweet photo you took, of footprints in the sand. Reminds me of the poem :)

Cléa: Some like them pictures and some like them words huh? Good point though. Probably why I never did it in the first place.

Tine: Thank you. We never had an opportunity to do something like that, not even all the three times we went to the beach in the past 4 years. :P

I don’t mind at all and yes I will think about adding photos to some of my posts should the mood fit it.
