Mirrors Edge first gameplay footage

Finally, some gameplay footage for Mirrors Edge!

I have been looking forward to seeing this for a long time, and it looks wonderful. The game is almost as I had imagined, possibly a little faster. It looks to combine the parkour abilities of Altair from Assassins Creed, with the perspective of Gordon Freeman. The addition of the arms and legs, whilst essential for a game of this type, are a welcome relief to the floating nonsense we’ve been subjected too for the past decade - and they work incredibly well.

The cityscape also works very well, with the blue and red combo not distracting at all. Originally I thought it would be too much of a contrast but seeing things in motion it almost looks like a necessity rather than a nicety.

I feel sorry for people who get motion sickness - this is one game I wouldn’t want to miss out on.
