I did not know squid beaks were one of the hardest organic objects in nature. Therefore, I was not mystified by the dilemma of how such rigid objects were efficiently attached to "blocks of jello." Mystery now solved.
Bats are dying left, right, and center from a mysterious virus that may wipe out entire populations and species, and researchers are completely stumped.
- China does it again. Tibetan antelopes and the Qinghai-Tibet railroad do not co-exist peacefully. The photo that showed them in harmony was faked. I first read about this in the journal Nature, but Treehugger also covered in very well.
