The corn kernler thing makes sense if you grow a lot of your own corn and then freeze it. ‘Cuase cutting it off the cob is hella messy.

About colanders: I actually use the spinner basket of my OXO salad spinner as a colander. It works well unless you’re trying to strain very thin pasta (like angel hair), which can slither out through the holes.
