New DS First Person Shooter : C.O.R.E

A new first person shooter on the DS? Excellent.

Metroid Prime Hunters is the best first person shooter game on the diminutive console and there haven’t been many others. Call of Duty was pretty good but the controls were a touch twitchy and the ai was conspicuous in it’s absence. Obviously we can’t tell what the controls are like when looking at a video but my fingers are crossed.

Apparently the game has…

• Mysterious atmosphere intensified by heavy music and advanced graphic solutions
• 14 big shocking and breathtaking levels
• 20 different enemies ranging from insane marines and mad scientists to big deadly mutants.
• There are 8 types of guns, such as: blaster, shotgun, plasma gun or rocket launcher. Some of them will have alternative shooting options or optical zoom.
• Play multiplayer with friends version using classic modes like: deathmatch, capture the flag or team arena

You will take on the role of a marine sent into a CORE lab complex built where a meteor crashed 20 years previous. All the research in the lab was going as planned, until two weeks ago when contact was lost. You were sent to investigate and will eventually find out that mankind is under threat and that you have to shoot everything that moves.

Pretty standard stuff but the video below is showing lots of promise… I hope it can be fulfilled.
