New plugin : BM Admin Tweak
July 11, 2008 | Web Design
A couple of weeks ago I mentioned how I have customised my wordpress administration interface to make it more streamlined and usable. This is an interface I made for myself so it works the way I want it too - however I had a couple of people say they liked the look of it and wanted me to release it as a plugin… so here it is.
Before anyone downloads it I would like to point out that this was made for me. Whilst there are features you may like if they don’t benefit me and I can’t add them in 10 minutes or so then I won’t be adding them. For example when I announced the theme on Twitter I got a comment saying it doesn’t work with Ozh Dropdown Admin Menu - I have spent about half an hour looking at it and I can see no easy way to either replicate Ozh dropdown menu, or to work around the problem within bm-admin-tweak - so I’m not going to do anything (sorry Danny :S )… that said… never say never. Maybe when I get some free time I’ll give it another go.

Nice theme. mind if I port it over to Drupal along with credit to ya as the original creator?

Steve - Sorry but I’m going to ask that you don’t do that. I want to keep this theme for my site only as I think it makes my site distinct. It’s like branding for myself

I don’t see much of a difference… although I like them both a lot…

Sorry to comment twice… I just wanted to say I love regulus… I actually made a few tweaks Css-wise to it. That’s all I guess. O yeah! Do you look kindly on kids looking at your site, if not I’ll go away.

This is a cool plugin, Im going to dig in my wordpress files and see if i can tweak my admin panel too. I was actually a better plan of the older interface though, maybe itll just take some getting used to. nevertheless, great work as usual
