This is a really fun series. Michiko is so passionate and impulsive, and she usually just lives for the moment. When she does manage to look beyond her current situation, she can move mountains. She’s determined and won’t let anything stand in her way, but then she has a relapse, and goes back to her tunnel vision, and she just can’t seem to find a way around the roadblock that’s popped up in front of her. It’s so frustrating! This girl is so capable of making her dreams come true, but she can’t stay focused long enough to do it.
A chance encounter with a happy-go-lucky producer helps Michiko become more in tune with herself, and she finally begins to enjoy modeling. Her pursuit of success would come to naught if she didn’t like what she was doing, and once this key of understanding falls in place, she begins to gain some confidence in herself. Then circumstances intrude again, threatening to derail her dreams. Stay focused, Michiko! Just stay focused!
Mihara returns to dish up some more scorn for our struggling model, but Michiko’s entire attitude toward him has changed. As she grows and matures, she realizes that her battle is really with herself. Mihara may have been the one to cruelly make her see that her life was painfully pointless, but he’s not the real demon that she has to face. She is.
