Church Relevance’s list of the top church websites has now grown to 90 sites. Church web designers keep launching new beautiful sites each month.

We have two sites that I love. Our church website @ http://www.passionchurch.tv and another outreach site @ http://www.passionstories.tv. The Passion Stories site is used by our members. They carry cards with their page address that leave on tables, at drive thrus, etc. to share their testimony. We hired a company here in OK to do the design and I think they did a great job. Thanks!

Great post!
I find it interesting that most of the churches that have hip websites tend to bend towards a target audience that has a younger demographic. I’d love to get peoples ideas as to why this tends to be the case. I don’t think it is as simple as we think.
Next question, how do we engage this demographic within our walls? No doubt the younger generation is quick to embrace change and new technology. However, if we could engage the older demographics, imagine the ministry that would happen. They have life experiences and wisdom that we don’t have.
The church where I serve as Media Director has a large portion of our demographic between the ages of 35 - 65. For me, that creates new challenges as to how to engage, empower, and equip those that didn’t grow up with computers and the internet. As well, our demographics also effect our worship style - we are a careful mix of traditional and contemporary (something I am sure we are not alone with).
All this said, it took me 7+ months to define a new web identity that accurately communicates who Bethel is. I just launched it earlier this month: http://www.bethelipc.org. It’s still a work in progress and I am generally pleased with how it turned out, but I am also challenged to make it the usability experience easy for all ages.

Just redesigned our sight as well http://www.reimagechurch.com along with an entire name change and direction. The idea was to better display who we are and merge us with the next generation.

I like GenerateLife.com, too. However, it is not a “church” site but a sub-ministry site of Crossroads Church. I’ve kept the list to only include “church” (overall) sites.

They all look great but is it just me or does it look like 7 of the first 11 you see the visuals of on this page look like the same designer did them all….with one large image at the top and 3 small ones on the bottom.
This obviously is the trend but would like to see it mixed up a bit
